Bruce Colter is a specialist in executive search and development. He is a consulting professional with broadbased experience as an advisor to entrepreneurial driven industrial and technology companies. Bruce has developed unique skills in executive-level recruiting for operational, strategic planning, and sales & marketing talent.
At Colter & Associates, Mr. Colter pioneered the virtual consulting concept using C&A's network of over 200 associates providing value-add solutions to specific client requirements. Under his direction, the Organizational Development and Executive Search (ODES) partnership has expanded to address vertical industries and application needs. Client demand has created additional opportunities in capital formation, M&A as well as divestiture work in recent years.
Mr. Colter was President of European Operations for Computer Products, Inc., a $100 million public company. While at Computer Products, Inc. (CPI), Mr. Colter was instrumental in starting up two divisions - Computer Products Research Corporation (Systems) and the European Division. He also supervised CPI's sales, marketing, and business development departments.
Prior to CPI, Mr. Colter served in various sales, marketing, and product planning areas for Honeywell Incorporated and Leeds & Northrup, a unit of General Signal. These responsibilities included Corporate Management and Field Operational assignments.
Mr. Colter, a Professional Engineer, received a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois and is an MBA graduate of The University of Chicago's General Management Program.
